This one-of-a-kind pendant is made from an exceptionally rare piece of multicolored 18th–19th century fine china, found along the Caribbean coast of an island in the Lesser Antilles. Unlike the more commonly found blue-and-white fragments, its layers of color make this piece an extraordinary survivor of another era.

The original decoration was likely painted by hand by artisans, giving the fragment a distinctly human connection to the past. After centuries of history and years in the sea, the china was naturally tumbled by waves, softening its edges while preserving traces of its original pattern and color.

Set securely in brass and heavily plated in 18K gold, the fragment remains exactly what the sea left behind—beautiful, imperfect, and entirely unique.
